Political correctness says that since Babe Ruth played during the segratated era, he didn't face the best pitchers in baseball, only the best white pitchers.

There's no end to debates like this, because you figure Babe Ruth never played a night game, which is supposed to make a difference, players travel coast to coast at odd hours now, and in Babe's day, they took trains and didn't have such tiring travel schedules, etc. The first few years of Babe's career it was still the dead ball era, etc. etc. You can take the numbers and make any argument. \

\I dont' support Bonds at all, however, I think if he never used steroids, he would be at about 625-650 career homers, he just woulnd't be threatening all time records.
