Don't know how many he faced, but everyone that he did face was forced to compete in the open market for their position. An individual pitcher will not have a large impact on an individual player's number, but if the overall quality of pitching in the league goes up, then overall batting statistics are going to go down.
If we were to ban all of the Latina Americans from playing today, don't you think the quality of pitching would decline and batting stats improve?
