Mary Cheney Considered Quitting 2004 Campaign Over Gay Marriage Issue

She says she considered quitting her role as campaign adviser over the issue of gay marriage, but Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter Mary Cheney tells ABC News "Primetime" anchor Diane Sawyer her sexuality has never created problems within her family.

Mary Cheney discussed the campaign, her feelings about President Bush, life with her partner of 14 years, and what it was like to come out as gay to her parents.

"I struggled with my decision to stay on the 2004 campaign," Cheney told "Primetime." Her personal challenge came when President Bush said the nation must defend the sanctity of marriage.

1. God never demands that we be without sin in order to recognize the sins of others. He gaved us his Word that clearly defines what is sinful and what is not. Our spiritual state doesn't enter into it.

2. Why do you accuse DBeers of hatred? You don't know what he is thinking or feeling. Seems to me that accussing someone of being a "hater" is always a liberal tactic.

Those who are sinful just add to their own sinfullness by focusing on the sins of others while not doing anything about their own sins.

Sorry but this is biblically innacurate. We are told to warn each other of their sins and the consequences thereof. Since no one is without sin then we who are sinful must warn others of their sins also.

You can't 'add' to your 'sinfullness' by doing what God tells you to do.

Also, how do you know Antoninus is not doing anything about his own sins? It sounds like he's been working on them for a while (As he confesses to be a strong Catholic I assume that he is confessing his sins and attending mass etc)

There are no human beings who are not heterosexual (some are just disordered). Examine the biology.

Any purely sexual relationship is not healthy, homosexual or heterosexual.

Please refer to the second law posted above. Every 'homosexual' relationship is purely sexual. Homosexuality is a disease diagnosed by the actions of those who suffer with it. If they don't talk of it or practice the behaviors then there is no way to say they are 'homosexual'

How are they going to know they're affirmed if you don't ignore, for the time being, their behavior?

What is "the freedom"? Is it sovereignty of will, or is it the privaledge to toss a vote for your ruler? God says it's sovereignty of will and that it's an andivdual right.

1.) Where does God say anything about "sovereingty of will"?

2.) No matter what kind of fancy terminology you dress your idea in, we do not have a God-given right to choose evil. Having the power to do something does not equal the right to do it. You have the power to take off your clothes and run down the street naked. Do you claim that you therefore have the right to do it?

Would you also like to go into a discussion of how Jesus agrees with the Father in all things? How Jesus and the Father are one? And that therefore if the Father says it then Jesus says it?
