I hope you would RATHER try to work to get a conservative elected within the established party.

It's certainly possible to do both. In fact, the threat of a third party defection can provide an incentive to choose conservatives in the primaries.

RINO DeWine just got 74% of the vote against a good conservative challenger in the Ohio Republican senatorial primary.

or, in some cases, it could lock up support for the other guys....

I'm talking close races here, not your basic Senate Race, like say, Ohio, where I'm sure Mike DeWhiner will open up to a 10% win when it's all said and done...

60% is better than 0% although 100% is the goal.

It would help if virtual nobodies wouldn't be the primary contenders against the types like Mike DeWhiner....
