Well stated. But unfortunately you're preaching to a lot of folks here whose only issues are abortion, homosexuality, creationism or demanding Bush round up 20 million illegal Latinos within the next two to three weeks. Anything outside of that, like the war on terror takes a very distant back seat. Some voted for Bush, not because he was eminently more effective at protecting the country than any of his opponents, but because they believed he could get the gay marriage ban amendment passed. Since he will not get that accomplished, they have already written him off in favor of Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid.
