The point of this post is, as disappointed as you are with Bush, it could get a lot worse with the party of Howard Dean.

In the last year, we've had Dick Durbin compare our soldier in Gtmo to Nazis. We've had an entire glee club that chattters joyfully every time something goes wrong in Iraq. Now we'll allow these people to control a major branch of our government.

No Republican president has ever governed strictly by Republican principles. Ronald Reagan in his last term RASIED taxes. Know why? Because a Democratic House forced him to.

Yes it could. And then people would see just exactly what kind of crazy moonbats the Democratic Party is full of. Right now the public and the media can give Democrats the benefit of the doubt, because they are in no power whatsoever. But if one of the houses were to fall to the Democrats, they could no longer hide behind the excuse of "hey, it's not our fault, we have no power!" They would actually be held accountable.

They would have to start taking policy stances, and odds are that the party of Howard Dean would promote absurdity after absurdity. It would give the Republican Party a major edge in 2008, because they'd have a perfect platform to attack the Democrats with. Plus, it would force them to actually go back to Republican principles since their irresponsibility from 2000-2006 would have led to their 2006 losses.

I'm voting down the Republican side in November; all I'm saying, though, is that conservatives have a perfectly legitimate reason not to back up a party that has stabbed them in the back the past few years- a party that has made a mockery out of their cause. I wouldn't blame them if they stayed home in November- especially with the terrible way this White House communicates. Seriously, it seems as if George W. Bush WANTS to make things a living hell for us when it comes to trying to defend him.

He was forced to sign? The veto pen ran out of ink?
