Just saw this on the FBI Most Wanted site:

Jeffs has not been seen by anyone outside the FLDS since approximately 2004. He and approximately 30 followers may be in the Leesburg, Florida, area attempting to purchase additional land for the FLDS.

Yup, it sure did after the feds started messing with them. They moved out of the country and the feds still felt compelled to get themselves involved and when they did all hell broke loose.

It's about in the center of the state mid-way. Not very far from Clearwater.

According to your post this"cult" has been going about their business for over 50 years. Why is it now that the feds want to get involved? Although we as a society may not agree with what they are doing, it is evident it has been going on for a long time. I do not agree that islam is a religion of peace we still as a society allow it, along with devil worship and witchcraft. Many societies believe a female is a woman at 13 YO and in the old west many a young teenager was married off. It just seems wierd that the feds are just now getting involved.

Wow... just wow

It does seem odd. Maybe the Ten Most Wanted isn't really what I thought it was? Is Osama on it? Zarahiri? Zarkawi? Mullah Omar?

The young men, even turned out of the group, still believe Jeffs is a prophet of God and their salvation is still tied to him. Do you know how powerful that tool is?

"In every thing I've read, no one has been prevented from leaving the group if they had the backbone to do so.."

And to do so would mean they are condemned to hell forever.

In Jeffs case, he's sexually molesting minors but no biggy though right?

I don't know what the answer is. It almost seems like there should be different lists. One for domestic (crime), & one for foreign (terrorism). Ah - they do have a separate list for Most Wanted Terrorists
The alleged terrorists on this list have been indicted by sitting Federal Grand Juries in various jurisdictions in the United States for the crimes reflected on their wanted posters.
I retract my previous post. This list gets so little press, I didn't know it existed.

Has he killed a million babies like the abortionists do EVERY year?

Has he committed violent robberies and beheadings like MS-13?

Has he displaced millions of American citizens from work like the illegal aliens?

Has he blown up buildings full of people?

Has he downed airliners?

Has he stolen millions from pension funds?

Has he threatened actions to destroy the civilized world?

Has he imported thousands of tons of mind altering drugs?

Has he distributed known cancer causing substances to millions in the guise of food ,drink, or inhalants?

Or did he really just p*ss off somebody by not paying taxes?Or is there something about those land parcels that makes somebody else want them really badly?

The sudden move of a small time scumbag to most wanted while so many worse are ignored is strange as drammach opines.

Is abortion illegal? No, its not.

But welfare fraud, scamming people of their money, hiring armed thugs, playing with peoples' physches' and their belief they are condemned to hell, along with lots and lots of sexual misconduct with minors is a pretty long list.

"Has he stolen millions from pension funds?"

What's really worth more to a person? Their pension fund or their belief they are condemned to hell for eternity?

How Jeffs got them out of the community was by having the local police -- who were under his control -- stop them and then tell them they could get off of whatever trumpted up charge they had against them by getting out of town, that was one popular method of getting them gone -- and why charges were brought against the officers by the State of Arizona.
