I had the honor of attending a Formal Friday Night Parade at the Barracks in the Spring of 1968, when serving as Personal Aide to the CNO, Adm. "Tom" Moorer.
The Parade was an incredibly moving experience -- truly magnificent; made me feel so proud to be an American; and one of the very few times in my life when tears came to my eyes.
The impact of the evening is vivid in my memory almost 4 decades later.
