Yep, that's exactly what I'm thinking. In fact, we should actually help them achieve this grand caliphate if they want it. And so get all the dervishes in the same pot. I'm sure they could hold it together for a while; Saddam held Iraq together for 30 years.
It wouldn't take a fraction of that time before we legitimately had to bomb the hell out of them in self defense. It wouldn't be like it is now: Bomb Baghdad, but allow Tehran, Karachi and Riyadh off the hook, which makes little sense to me.
