It's a simple and seductive idea that analysts believe may someday allow the group to rival existing Islamic movements, topple the rulers of Middle Eastern nations, and undermine those seeking to reconcile democracy and Islam and build bridges between East and West
Well the unChristian Monitor get more wacko and insane daily. "Some Analysts" need a serious increase in their medication. Look at the ethnic strife in Iraq, Afganistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and even among the Palestinians. Time to get a grip on reality "Some Anaslysists"
This wacko fantasy of "Some Analysts" runs afoul of another REALITY. All the various wackos Islamos think THEY should be the Caliph. Islam is tribal and clannish and stagnate. The idea they could ever united under one banner is absurd nonsense.
The early Caliphs spent a lot of time excommunicating one another. The lack of unity among Muslims made the First Crusade a success, even though it was largely a French operation.
I agree 100%. These savages have been slaughtering each other for thousands for years, each clan believing that they have the "profound right" to tell all the others how to live. This is nothing but the puerile comic-book fantasy of a bunch of 10-year-old-males inhabiting adult bodies. But like the dimocRATS, I don't want these village idiots to ever get a clue...
