In the Peoples Republic of New Jersey, three slingshots and a BB gun are considered a "weapons cache".

No, according to the NRA-ILA website for New Jersey, even the "illegal hollowpoints" are not illegal to purchase, or to possess in ones "dwelling, premises, or other land owned or possessed by him, or from carrying such ammunition from the place of purchase to said dwelling or land"

At least until his father got a court to issue a restraining order against him, them every gun and round of ammo became illegally possesed.

The story says he was licensed to posses the firearms. That actually means he had a FOID card for purchase of the "sniper rifle", and a permit to purchase for the Glocks. These are required even for gifts, transfers from out of state and private purchases. "A person shall not be restricted as to the number of rifles or shotguns they may purchase, provided they have a valid FID and the certification form requirements are met."

"That sociopath Governor Jim McGreevey endangered the lives of 8,600,000 innocent people.."

Yep..and he just rode off into the sunset without any repercussions...heck even a grand jury would have found something against him regarding the homeland security boyfriend matter. Probably years of hush money/favored state contracts/political appointments, etc...helped him walk away unscathed.

Hollowpoints are illegal in NJ.

Only outside the actor's dwelling, premises or other land possessed or controlled by the actor.

I would also like to know.. What in the hell is a "sniper rifle"?!? Sure some rifles have characteristics that may make them desirable for accurate shooting, but isn't a "sniper rifle" really a weapon that a person acting as a sniper uses? The way they are talking, the weapon is really a sniper waiting for someone to walk up and snipe with it lol.

including a sniper rifle

It would be interesting to know if this was a true sniper rifle, such as PSL, Dragunov, or other purpose built or modified military rifle. Or was is a Remington, Winchester, Sako, etc hunting rifle equipped with a scope?

Buy surplus from Cheaper Than Dirt. Have UPS hand deliver it you at home. Can get 1,000 rounds of .223 for about 100.00

I have six guns. Would that qualify as a large arsenal?

I have, 4 rifles (one a .22) 3 handguns (one a .22) and 2 shotguns (one strictly for serious social purposes). I have many ammo cans of ammo, 8 .50 cal size, 2 5.56 size, 2 20 mm size :), the better part of a 1000 round case of 7.62 NATO, plus a 500 round case of .45 ACP (some of the stuff in the cans is .45 also)

I think mine would qualify as a HUMONGOUS arsenal, and the reporter would lose control of his anal sphincter.

Don't know what he'd call the collection of my buddy with the several M-1 Carbines, some handguns, an M-2 full auto Carbine, and an M1919A4 converted (by Jews!) to 7.62 NATO, and a proportional amount of ammo... oh and a grenade launcher. He doesn't even live in Texas anymore. :) He's closer to New Jersey in fact, in Alabama. The reporter would probably just slit his wrists and be done with it.

When I go to the range with my mom, dad, sisters, and brother-in-law, we often go through at least this must ammo. Of course, ours is a combination of .22, 9mm, .45ACP, 30-30, 30-06, .44 black powder, .50 black powder, 12-gauge, and 16-gauge. Of course, when you have eight people shooting, this is only one hundred fifty rounds apiece.
