I too agree, as a longtime Freeper I cannot understand why we who are not fighting this administration,but rather the issue of illegal immigration , that we are allowed to be harangued, bated, insulted, called names, and this happens on every thread to the point of stalking. Yes stalking.
I am not a drama queen, I've minded my p's and q's like a good Freeper citizen, yet there are a handful + here that act like vigilantes. I cannot phantom why some Freeper's have all this power and other's are banned/suspended for what is seemingly nothing in comparison to this.
When I first signed up here, I admired you beyond belief Jim. I spread your story far and wide. I felt terrible that financially I am the middle America that has been hit hard and couldn't contribute to FR. I mean the very name of your home Jim, is Free Republic, yet I've had to defend myself against Freeper's I do not even know. That no matter how repeatedly I've posted your rules and asked nice they persist on acting juvenile and inciteful, attempting at every turn to create chaos and see one of us removed.
Jim, you went by yourself all the way to DC for what you believed in and that is all we are doing, fighting to protect this country. The war is here and that war is hard enough to fight with Congress, but to try and fight it right here, at our homebase and be belittled and badgered at every turn, JR why is that allowed?
Well, I've been called every name in the book and have had people wishing to see me writhing in pain on a cold dank cell floor for the rest of my life and or to be hung from the trees as a quisling. And those are just examples of what's been posted publicly. I don't publish many of the hateful email messages I receive.

I sympathize, but just in case you haven't noticed, Jim has generally been on the "it's no big deal" side of argument. It could appear to the casual observer the open borders advocates around here have been given a wink and a nod when they initiate their ad hominems.
Can't say for sure, but I sense JR may be coming around to something more in line with about 90+% of conservatives' view on the subject. In which case, the flamers may actually get reined in some. Hope so.

Frankly, I maybe the one you are talking about. Basically, if people say stupid things on the immigration threads (or any thread), I point them out. Anyone who makes cogent points and I leave them alone.
