I usually think of it more as the scene in Independence Day where all the morons (read: Liberals) go up to the top of the building to welcome the Aliens. Then they are the first ones annihilated. Yeah, but at least those people hadn't been listening to the aliens threatening to wipe out an entire nation for years, like the dipsticks in our current situation.
