As a high caliber attorney [say, like Roberts had been before becoming a judge] Luttig would have been easily making 4-5 times more than his salary as a judge. So, if your argument holds, why has he been forcing oneself into straitened circumstances for 15 years? Thus your reasoning re his motivation is fellatious.
