"Even if the polls say the President's "job approval" is at minus zero I wouldn't give a fig. I don't need no stinking poll to do my thinking for me. I stand with this President. Period."

well you will soon be very lonely

You think Jesus would support waging war?

Jesus said, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and to God that which is God's."

In other words, He would support the government even in times of war.

Still not good. It's better though. At least he is bottoming out now, with 6 months to an election. :-)

Interesting that you seem to like this poll result but on May 5 when responding to a post that Bush's ratings were 43% you had this to say:

Rasmussen! His methods are crap! This guy ought to be drummed out of the polling profession...wait...this is good news, Oh, he must be on to something!

Rev. 19:11-16... "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

Depends upon the war. Fighting against tyrrany and opression and against a false religion... I would say yes.

If you don't like the latest "poll," wait 15 minutes.

Yep. Polling organizations are just running these polls on almost a daily basis. They want to depress GOP voter turnout, as do many on FR.

If they don't succeed in putting the Dems in the majority in one House of Congress, look for them to figure out a way to try to drive Bush down into the teens.

I still believe in off year elections all politics are local. I really don't think we will lose the house, the Senate maybe.

How far off could it possibly be?

By polling "adultsc automatically skews the results and I have seen no demographics about this poll posted. Did they call "adults" in New York only? There are no details.

It's possible that this was a push poll.

Funny, I don't think we will lose the Senate, but if the election was held today I'm sure we would lose many, many House seats.

A president who doesn't have the confidence of most Americans is weak (whether you personally agree with them or not).

Yeah. A weak president won't be able to get tax cuts or capital gains taxes renewed or address AMT....oh, wait, he did that, today!

They drop it 1-2 points every week or two with their methodologies (polling more and more Dims for one.) They are going to run out of room to drop it without looking ridiculous soon. I think it is lower than 50% in reality, but suspect it is not as low as this.

Really? You think Jesus would support waging war?

Of course. What a silly question.

How come almost all the polls show Dubya in the low 30s? Are they all uniformly biased against him?

Do you think Jesus would liberate oppressed people and establish freedom and hope to places that need it most?

It's a measurement of how many like minded people are in the electorate.

Bull crap. Polling results are numbers put out by companies who are paid to do so by other companies. Polling companies do not release their methods. We do not have any objective way of assessing their honesty and integrity, or the accuracy of their results. The media -- shown time and time again to be dishonest and biased -- use opinion polls not to report on public attitudes but to shape them.

I scoff at political polls whether or not they support my point of view, and I have for years.
