Seriously, Fox should put John Gibson at prime-time.[fox received around 33000 mail for this, mostly +ve]

The Washington Post did a snap poll Thursday night to determine if Americans are upset about the president and the National Security Agency keeping a data bank of our phone records — what number was used to call what other number. The short story: Americans are overwhelming OK with it.

But The Post was asking the wrong question.

In this case, it also needs to be asked:

Are you OK with someone at the NSA leaking this information to reporters?

Are you OK with secret methods being used to try to catch Al Qaeda being revealed not only to the American public, but also to Al Qaeda themselves?

Are you OK with NSA employees being so ticked off at the president they would release information that helps the very people who are trying to kill you?

Are you OK with national security issues being treated as the raw material for Pulitzer prizes for ambitious reporters?

Are you OK with Al Qaeda only having to subscribe to The New York Times and The Washington Post to learn how America's spies are trying to track them down?

Are you OK with reporters being more concerned about Pulitzer prizes than whether you or I blow up?

........Leakers of this sort are criminals who should be in jail. And the reporters who use secrets to win Pulitzers are putting our lives in danger. Remember: These are the same people who want someone in jail for outing Valerie Plame. Where are they now?

Some women on Chris Matthews show just said that it's sure why the NSA is data mining phone numbers

Sounds like she doesn't realize we are in a war on terror

For some reason, my mind refuses to remember his name.

@@@@@

When the host introduces the panelists, he mentions where each one is employed. Gabler is noted as "a media writer." Guess he is free lance, and I wonder if he is published at all!

The reported GWBush proposal to put guard without a true fence is 100% BS to pacify the voting public.

Without a wall all reform is useless.

"They all need to be put in a room and be forced to listen to Darryl Whorely's Have You Forgotten?."

That is an excellent song. After making them listen to THAT song until they can "sing-along", I would then suggest following up with a repetitive duplication of "Seasons In The Sun" by Terry Jacks.....

Katrina is a PR battle that the Dems and the MSM won.

History will show that the response to Katrina was awesome, just overshadowed by the magnitude of the disaster. IMHO

Geeez more Mary Cheny flogging her "I am a homosexual" book.

Look for FNC to stupidly try and spin the federal marriage amendment as just trying to appeal to religious fundamentalists in the base.

The producers and staffers at FNC have been giving the federal marriage amendment the same spin as CNN.

It should be painfully obvious that NONreligious people vote is just as great or GREATER numbers to pass marriage amendments.

What a crock. If Rove is indicted (which I doubt will happen) so what? Just because he's indicted doesn't mean they can lock him up in a sound-proof room. He could STILL offer advice, even if he isn't in the White House.

Plus, indicting him would infuriate an awful lot of Republicans.

They will lose this point....no one but the looney left and a portion of gays wish gay marriage. It really is a non-issue for a lot of liberals, and it is opposed by every mainstream religion and most conservatives.

In Europe (Holland I believe) where gay marriage is legal, only about 7% of gays even take advantage of it.

I have been considering this rabid 100%erims and it seems to me this is the downside of the Talk Radio revolution. Other then Rush, Hugh Hewitt and Tony Snow most of our "Talking Heads" simply lack the moral courage or intellectual discipline to actually stand FOR anything. They simply have not intellectually made the switch from being the Minority to being the Majority. To many of them simply used "Conservatism" as their selling point with no real commitment to Conservative values. They merely read their email to find out what their position should be. The end result is this negative feedback loop we see. The Talking Heads tell the Conservative Base that they should be all pissed off about this or that because the Conservative base is writing and calling them to bitch about this or that.

Out Talking Heads are so caught up in the perpetual whining they simply have FORGOTTEN to think about anything. Since all they hear is negative, all the say is negative. We have no echo chamber educating on Conservatism anymore. The end result is virtually no one is speaking the Conservatives message anymore. They simply regurgitate the issues and slogans of the Political Leftist. They have become Moveon.org's echo chamber.

Watching this is like watching a car skidding on ice, you can see the crash coming but you cannot seem to wake the drivers up to the danger they are putting themselves in!

Yes they did, and a majority of Americans bought it completely.
