Truthfully, I wish that Tony had done a better job on his first press conference. It was pretty embarrasing considering we are trying to change things within the whitehouse especially communication. Now the news was all about how horrible that Tony did and we could have used this as a positive story on the "new" start of the President's final stretch to 2006 and beyond instead of it all about Tony. I have faith that he will be prepared for his next press conference I hope.

Wasn't a 'press conference'...was the 'gaggle', which is an informal, off-camera meeting with the press--usually early in the day ahead of the more formal (and televised) Press Briefing.

This gaggle was held last Friday. Snow's first Press Briefing will be tomorrow.

Did anyone learn anything important from this miserable performance?

Today's presser (5/15) was fantastic. The 5/12 had alot of stumbles but Tony was very succinct today and in my opinion was fantastic. See the 5/15 presser and then tell us if you feel that he was "miserable."

Snow was on point, and offered a welcomed change. He is not stupid and must have reviewed his previous work. He took charge, thank goodness.
