Well it was a grand thing to wish for at any rate, GOP Lady! Unfortunately for many it's become their new favorite sport.

There wasn't a whole lot I agreed with our President tonight in regards to illegal immigration. That being said, I refuse to revel in the demonization of him here and elsewhere. People have been taking way too much glee in it lately and as cute as a lot of FReepers think they're being with the snarkiness, no one is enjoying it more than the leftist commies and the leftist media.

Disagree with our President, sure - but would it kill others here to do so civilly?

Well said, I too am disappointed with tonight's speech and the president's track record on illegal immigration however I do believe we serve no good purpose tearing at each other's throats. There are many ideas being offered up here, some you may agree with and some you may not but a civil debate of all may eventually help to create a workable solution to the problem. We would all do well to remember that some very influential types observe and participate here so the ideas put forth may actually carry some weight beyond this forum.
