It's that horse-barn thing. Too late

It's only too late after you are dead. Unless one is a fatalistic quitter, it is possible to remedy mistakes. Just think of the world we would live in if folks had said it was too late when Hitler set up camp in France, or when Russia got nukes, and the rest of the world just rolled over and accepted that "the horse was already out of the barn".

Not all conservatives who have given up on the GOP are fatalistic or quitters. Some think losing the house or Senate would be a good lesson for them, others think things will only improve if they get worse first, and others never considered the current crop of GOPers to be conservatives. Many motivations, that have been brought to a head by the immigration issue.

I'm NOT a republican, nor do I want to be. I have not given up on Bush or the House. I plan to keep pushing them to the right, as best I can. I gave up on the Senate a long, long time ago. I can count on one hand the Senators I have any respect for or faith in.

But the fact remains that the horse left the barn for many on this forum.
