Dude, it was sarcasm. I didn't think that I would have had to put a /sarc tag on it.

Then again, lately you can't be too sure around here.

Well that's a relief.

I definitely have to clean my computer screen on that one. I loved it!

Someone here had a most remarkable idea yesterday. Making a concerted effort to vote one or two RHINOS out--say Chaffee. It might make our point, yet let us not loose the "whole shootin' match".

Well said, enough of the stupid RINOS, send these bastards home in the primaries.
Best way to send a message to those RINOs not facing election this time.

First, we need to remember that liberals - not Democrats - are the real enemy. This means not voting for liberal Republicans and liberal Democrats with equal zeal.

I need to forget your post immediately so that I'm not tempted to do something stupid.

Scare tactics have long since lost their effect.

Another 84 troll. What was it? Somebody's idea at a tea party.

Well the only thing that I like from a RINO is getting the Majority over the rats. Other then that we Elephants don't like RINOs on our turf.

RESULTS MATTER.

You're right! Results do matter. The continuation of a slow creeping liberalism that results in the loss of America in three decades instead of one is not an acceptable one.

Yes, yes - but is this a worthwhile goal? If price of obtaining that majority is the comrpromise of our core principles, the price is too high. Better to be a minority party fighting a tooth and nail obstructionist war and educating the electorate than advocating incorrect policies for the nation.

The recent experience of Canada, and our experience in the 70s, shows that if conservatives merely remain conservatives, it isn't long before liberals make enough of a mess of things that the electorate will turn back to us for answers that aren't watered down.

If we keep control of both the Senate and the House, we can declare victory. (Even though "control" is an oxymoron right now when used in reference to Congress; seems like members of the same party are not only not on the same page, they aren't even reading from the same book!)

If he loses in RI, what are the prospects for his challenger against whoever the Dems run?

I will stand my ground. I will vote RINOs out in the primary elections and I will just have to deal with the RINOs after that. I would rather deal with a RINO then deal with a rat.

I agree with everything you said--except this.

I live in NJ. We handed the RINOs control of the GOP in our state and now the party is in an absolute shambles. Election after election, we have a choice between a liberal Republican and a socialist Democrat. If the conservative base of the party breaks through and elects a Conservative in the primary like Bret Schundler, the RINOs abandon ship and actively help the Democrat.

Electing a liberal Republican to any office is a grave error. They take over the party apparatus and make sure to shut out any real conservatives from that point on.

The best thing that could happen in 2006 would be for the GOP to lose a few RINO seats (especially in the Senate) and pick up a few Democrat seats.

That said, we've got to work hard to make sure that good Conservative candidates get elected in the primaries and pull out all the stops to support conservative Republicans in November.

Liberal Republicans can rot, for all I care. They'll never get another vote from me.

Majority? There is a liberal majority in the Senate currently--comprised of Democrats and liberal Republicans. Haven't you noticed?

What do you get in the primary and can you get the vote out to take out the liberals?

Running from this party and allowing the Liberals to steal it from us is not an option. We must defend this turf. We need to work on removing the commies during the primary. I am not saying that I enjoying bellying up to the bar with RINOs. I don't have RINO friends and to me they are more hated then the Jackasses. That is why it is my job to remove them. Until then, I have to deal with RINOs being on my turf.

OK, then we need to convince the RINOs that it would be best for them to move to the DNC. I am glad you bring this to my attention because I live in the most Conservative part of the US. Every place I lived in (except for Boston) has been conservative and I don't run into these problems that you are experiencing. In the State of Jersey, what are the number of Republicans VS Demorats, Liberals VS Conservative?

For all the fight they are getting from the people who are supposed to be running things, how much would really be different. And I'm not saying I'm voting dem, I'm just saying if you take a long hard look, what is really going to be any different than today?
