Ahmadinejad invited by Chinese

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been invited by China to attend the June summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization. However, China will not discuss the nuclear issue with Iran or persuade Iran to accept any solution to end the crisis.

“I don't think they (summit and Iranian issue) are related. Iran is an observer of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, along with India, Pakistan and Mongolia, and is invited in that capacity."

Lavrov reiterated a statement that Moscow and Beijing oppose sanctions and military action.

china needs fuel for it's billion plus people, nothing else. military intervention against the US is pretty much out of the question right now

Red China had better wake up and realize that the Islamic jihadists are just as much against atheisitic communism as they are against democratic capitalism. To them, they're just different versions of infidelism.

There is a security clause in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization by-laws for member nations. Russia and China both recently invited Iran and several other nations to become members.
