The talk in Iowa regarding the mumps outbreak is that it started at one of the colleges in Dubuque, and is attributed to poor attentiveness to student immunization requirements and records. Also, the first case is rumored to have gotten to Iowa by a student who traveled to the U.K.

All rumor, but that's all I've heard because the public health people refuse to share the information.

I've done some research on the CDC website today.

Yaaay! I have had all the Adult Immunizations the CDC recommends, but maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to find out if I need another Hep A---just in case.
