I think we conservatives can now turn around to the gay marriage lobby and say, "Told you so". There are many fine gay people, but these repeated attempts to somehow make the gay lifestyle fit into a heterosexual model just is a dead end.

Personally I find it rather silly that gays getting divorced is taken to signify anything more or less than straights getting divorced.

But the relationship soured after Miss Ligthard accused Miss King of seeing another woman who had been a guest at their "wedding". The couple are now splitting up and face the prospect of dividing their joint assets. Sounds like a Soap Opera

If you don't know any straight people who have divorced after only a few months of marriage, come to the States and I'll introduce you to my sister. She did it twice -- first marriage lasted seven weeks and the second marriage lasted five months.

"She said she noticed something was wrong after Miss King, an amateur triathlete who works in insurance, began spending a lot of time away from home and kept bringing another woman back to the house."
This one is not going to be sending any rockets into space.
Is this known in England as "being called on the carpet"?

There are many fine gay people, but these repeated attempts to somehow make the gay lifestyle fit into a heterosexual model just is a dead end.Unfortunately, this is just the sort of scenario that will draw HUGE lobbying in favor of legitimizing. Can you just see the lawyers drooling over the boom in the divorce industry? We can say what we want, but this movement has powerful allies and we can't underestimate their ability to have gay marriage "rammed through" as law.

Miss Ligthard said that the break-up came after Miss King said she no longer loved her.Sounds like Miss Ligthard "has had the rug pulled out from under her".

Marriage is only between a man and a woman for the purpose of bearing children. Anything else is a mock marriage. According to vermin this is not so; they open the door for "marriage" between a woman and her son, a man and his dog, a woman and her men, and so on, by that illogical rationale.
So now we have a mock divorce?

Moreover, in contrast to marriage, adultery was not recognised as grounds for ending a civil partnership, though unreasonable behaviour could be cited. Adultery doesn't count as "Unreasonable behavior"? Would something like excessive channel surfing constitute "unreasonable behavior"? How about mixing plaids and stripes?

Gay marriages are a potential gold mine for lawyers. They'll have all those new legal definitions and findings to test.
Never mind the awful fallout and lives destroyed in the process, plenty of them will have many billable hours and lots of new $$$ available to them.
Ba$tard$ all!
