'Even the mainstream centre-left and centre-right will be suffice. I have met newspaper pundits and university academics who are Labour supporters here, and businesspeople or economist who are National party base. In most cases the Labour supporters are far more chauvinistic - and more intolerant towards "foreigners" who eat different food or don't watch rugby/cricket.'
What's that got to do with no go zones in eastern Germany? Do your labour friends favour the swastika and have a tendancy to kill black people who visit their town?
What I'm saying is that the conventionally accepted "common sense" like "racism is an extension of nationalism, which only occurs from the Right" is false i.e. don't assume these people are racist so that they must be far-right. They could well be Linkeparti supporters.
