Hmmm. . . . national socialism perhaps?
Precisely. I've read Mein kampf. I could pull whole passages out of it, and if you didn't know the source, you'd swear they were platforms and issues of liberal dems and leftists.
The only real difference between Hitler and Stalin (the Bolsheviks), is that Hitler's socialism is based on nationalism and racial unity, while Russia's socialism was based on internationalism and (on the surface anyway), an attempt to break down national and racial unity (everyman a communist).
Also, having seen the problems caused to the Soviet economy by turning over all business and agriculture over to the state, to be run by ignorant bureaucrats, Hitler decided to keep his hands off Germany's businessmen and farmers. As long as they followed the party line, which they were inclined to do under the banner of nationalist pride. Even so, Hitler had his loyalists watching over everything they did. Hitler knew that these people knew, better than any party hack, how to keep the economic engine running in his favor.
