Come on, Neil Diamond does do the talking thing, but he and Barry, especially Barry, do have vocal talent.
To: Warren_Piece
Why did you interpret that as a pot-shot, their name is the "Commodores." But you are right, it will be another 30 years before you have another shot at beating us.

Grown Iraqi men get misty-eyed by the mere mention of his name. "I love Lionel Richie," they say. Iraqis who do not understand a word of English can sing an entire Lionel Richie song. LMAO ping

I met Richie and actually drove his new Mercedes in 1978, when he was still with the Commodores. Oh yeah? I drive Jon Voight's Chrysler Le Baron, as we speak.

When I was a kid, my favorite bed spread was previously owned by one of Phyllis Diller's servants. Really.

Well that song sucks. Listen to Mandy or some of his songs where he doesn't talk. I didn't think much of him til I saw him perform live on Idol this season. He really does have an amazing voice when he uses it.

I once served a martini to Liberace's close pal. He told me it was "scrumptious!"

Well, Kenny G, Michael Bolton and John Tesh have a future in Baghdad! Good grief....I'll put up with the mortars, rockets, hot, dusty weather, long working hours, bland food and being confined to a compound all the time.
But bring that trio over here and I'm outta here! ;-)

They do seem to have an affinity for bad 70s disco, however. I've heard songs over here recently that I hadn't heard since I was a kid. Bee Gees in Baghdad? Now I'm convinced. War really is hell.
