National Guard on the border is not going as advertised. It is a flawed policy wrapped in illusion. The American public is way ahead of us. The National Guard have done all they can in on the border, but it is time for a change in direction. Our National Guard is suffering. The future of our country is at risk. We cannot continue on the present course. It is evident that continued National Guard is not in the best interests of the United States of America, the or Mexico.
President Fox said "the perception of National Guard on the border is a major driving force behind illegal immigration".
My plan calls:
To immediately redeploy the National Guard consistent with the safety of the National Guard.
To create a quick reaction National Gurad force in the region.
To create an over-the-horizon presence of National Guard.
To diplomatically pursue security and stability on the border.
Our National Guard has done everything that has been asked of them, the U.S. can not accomplish anything further on the border. It is time to bring them home.
