I can prove the materials and labor do not cost that much for that amount of built wall. You forget - this estimate is from the Federal Goverment - you know, the ones who spend $500 for a $12 Wal-Mart hammer and $2K for a toilet seat.... By the time the appropriate kick-backs are paid to interested parties, then the cost goes up to AT LEAST $568.18 (remember - government contracts always under-estimate the costs).

Yes that's all true, as has been pointed out earlier, Government involvement will definitely high-ball the cost.
But still, we spend, what is it now, 70 billion, 90 billion, 100 billion on Iraq? No one can believe the whole Iraq experience was truly for national security as long as an impenetrable physical barrier is not on our Southern border.
