**** Along with the already approved House vote, the Senate has overwhelmingly approved a get-tough measure for building more border fences to stem the tide of alien invasion. This would not have been possible a year ago. A hearty thank you to all those illegal aliens who marched to protest America's right to sovereignty while wielding Mexican flags and spewing anti-American, reconquista diatribes. Thank you, we couldn't have done it without you. East Northport
**** We need an effective illegal-alien bill, a policy of arresting anyone who defeats the fence and gains entrance to the United States, followed by prosecution upon arrest and deportation for anyone apprehended under this policy, after being convicted as a felon. Eliminate hiring illegals, including those who are already here. Spartanburg
**** .......No other ethnicity has been catered to the way Hispanics have. The issue is accommodation, not assimilation. We have seen the Mexican flag waved in our streets and our national anthem rewritten and sung in a foreign language. We have endured degrading searches to board planes and enter government buildings, yet illegals come and go as they please. Sen. Dick Durbin is worried about America's image while we are worried about the safety and future of our grandchildren and our country. The border should be closed immediately. English-only laws should apply to every aspect of our lives, and all entitlements to illegals should stop immediately. Companies should be fined, employers imprisoned and all illegals returned to their country of origin. Greeley, Pa.
**** In the past, people melted in and learned the customs and language of their host country. Now we have Spanish on phones, products, at baseball games and on our forms and signs in public offices and voting ballots......that is why all this babble is just that. Carteret, NJ

I will be voting 'R' as usual this fall (I'm hardwired for losers). However, I believe the 'R's are going to get their RINO _sses handed to them on silver platters by principled voters not interested in strategery based on expedience or the lesser of two evils.
The chasm between Capitol Hill and everyday voters grows daily --- when will these suckers put the interest of the country over their own political ambitions?
The idiocy is compunded by the fact that illegal Hispanic-hyphenates indoctrinated with Marxist ideology to take over our country with the vote or with violence, will never vote Republican.
Yeah, and then we'll get *our* _sses handed to us by Pelossi & Reed. Bumbling Republican fools are still a better option to democrat traitors. Republican, because there is no other choice.
You know lost to the illegal alien invaders when the signs in Home Depot & Lowes are Spanish on Top in Big Letters and English on the bottom in small letters!
If you are an illegal alien, it is okay to steal somebody elses social security number and steal their identity per the U.S. Senate!
You prefer the death of a thousand cuts, eh? The issue needs to be forced because it is literally our survival. Indeed, the RATs would hasten some things (good to highlight them with) but adversity should develop good leaders and then, my friend, we'll have something we can actually work with. As things stand now, we are being betrayed to the same demise you already fear from the RATs.
Any guesses on who will be the first politician to declare, "peace in our time"?
Illegal organized criminals are way ahead of law-abiding Americans on these scams.
We should understand the arrogance and thumb-your-nose attitude they display whenever they pop up in public view, talking about taking over our country with the vote, or by violence.........whatever it takes.
The illegal criminal invaders have been getting away with multiple frauds for years----they have fully screwed American taxpayers, American law enforcement, American social service agencies, and now they are preying on hyphenating politicans to finalize the ultimate illegals scam---citizenship and amnesty.
It's too big a field of contenders for me to choose. On our local board, a Minnesota FReeper just posted a quote from an 'R' that justified our new stadium albatross with the opinion (paraphrased) that this isn't about business, ball clubs or mere spending...it's about making memories!
hehe..the anti-christ?
"Immigration" as used by many of our senators is imply a cover word for "invasion" that they obviously relish.
Americans are defending our country from those who would drag it down into anarchy....no more, no less.
Invaders are in our streets, waving foreign flags, planning to takeover our country with the vote or with violence, to establish a separate subculture of foreign-speaking illegals, and live off US bounty.......all paid for by law-abiding, working class American taxpayers.
I have an issue with Immigration and Congress in general.
Members of congress have shown us time and again that they are incapable of meaningful, focused action for the resolution of key issues in any ethical or intelligent way. You are well aware of the issues; immigration, energy, welfare, Social Security and Medicare, a tax system that is overly complicated and filled with inequities, and a budget that is grossly inflated with pork.
Immigration and naturalization issues are a good example of poor performance by Congress. Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution of the United States, gives Congress and Congress alone, the power to establish the rules, laws, and procedures to straighten out immigration and naturalization issues. The laws that are on the books need to be enforced, and funding provided to support security of our country and its borders. It seems to me, and I think you will agree, that the will of the citizens of our country is fairly obvious, illegal marchers not withstanding. Yet all I see is vacillation, procrastination, and subterfuge in the political ways of our senators and representatives. No one seems willing to actually do something, anythingother than spend our money of course.
Energy, Medicare, Social Security, our tax system, pork politics, and welfare are among other major issues that need congressional action and resolution before they become an overwhelming weight on our resources and security. If lasting solutions are not found, we shall slowly but surely sink into a national peat bog, from which, it may take generations to recover.

Furthermore....
Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act in 1996; (Deportation and exclusion procedures were consolidated, effective April 1, 1997.)
-The president can deport any alien who was deemed dangerous.
Imagine a ship at sea that is sinking. No orders are issued to the crew even though many know of the ruptured hull and the increasing list is apparent. The crew becomes apprehensive and pointedly questions their direct superiors. These junior officers just ignore their questions or parrot the line that 'all is well'. The crisis deepens and critical functions begin to fail and shut down. Emergency procedures are undertaken by crewmen without authorization because conditions warrant emergency action. Still, no word from the Captain. The conditions on board are now critical enough that some quarters send emissaries to the bridge for explicit direction. The Captain, finally, issues orders to return to stations - all is well - and after minor repairs the ship will be underway again. Even though the ship's speed is decreasing and critical functions are failing, the moment has arrived where the bridge commands are indirect contrast to the direct evidence of true conditions...
If you're in the military, you follow the Captains orders - even if they are insane. However, if you're in the United States of America, where your Captain is subject to serving the strict measures of the Constitution and the will of the people, you have a dilemma.
We have a dilemma.
Well stated.
Good job! This list needs to be spread around. If you or I stole somebody else's ID and tried to get a job, credit, DL, etc. with it the law would come down on us and affect our criminal records, as it should. Why are illegal aliens getting away with this?- we wouldn't.
I agree, Liz. But, Congress has the overall responsibility
for Naturalization--setting the rules, setting up the procedures, setting up and enforcing the rules by making sure the enforcement body is properly funded. The President can deport anyone who breaks our laws but those who set up the laws have failed us big time--IMHO.
