That's strange to say the least. I would wager that it's also in most public school libraries. It's impossible to study Western literary traditions without understanding all the Biblical references.

I do not believe you. Name your city and I will contact the public library there and tell you what shelf it is on, so you can check it out. I have never seen a public library that did not have several copies of the Bible on its shelves.

If you are correct, I will work to get the Bible on that library's shelves.

I just did an on line search of the Philadelphia Library  (where I live).The results for "Holy Bible" returned 534 different titles most of them have multiple copies

I'm still waiting for you to tell me the name of the city that has no Bibles on its public library shelves. Could it be that you were exaggerating?

Tell me the name of the city, and I will call the local library and pass along to you the shelf where you can find the Bible there.
