U.S. can't let Iran go nuclear
Pittsburgh Tribune Review ^ | May 23, 3006 | Ed Faulner

Ahmadinejad's simply stalling for time so Iran can finish building its nuclear weapons program.

Frighteningly, they're quickly closing in on their goal, and the international community isn't doing much to interfere. In March the U.N. Security Council urged Iran to suspend its uranium-enrichment activities and fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency. But the IAEA admitted on April 28 that Iran has ignored that warning.

In fact, the Iranian government has repeatedly violated the 1968 Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and has made clear that it intends to keep on doing so until it has the bomb. When faced with the threat of Security Council sanctions, Ahmadinejad was refreshingly clear. Iran "won't give a damn about such useless resolutions," he announced.

It's time for the U.S. to act.

There's little doubt that Israel and the United States would be the top targets of a nuclear Iran. Ahmadinejad himself has announced that, "God willing, with the force of God behind it, we shall soon experience a world without the United States and Zionism," and he's called for Israel to be "wiped out from the map." Even if the U.N. won't take such threats seriously, the U.S. and our democratic allies must.

Iran's president is using old-fashioned methods to get his message across, and the U.S. should answer in kind. We should use Ahmadinejad's letters to try to determine what he'll do next. But we should also make clear -- to Iran and the U.N. -- that the United States isn't going to allow Iran to go nuclear. It's time to remind our enemies we're ready, willing and able to act in our own defense.

My bet is we won't act before Iran gets its nukes.

And the price will be very heavy.

History won't judge us kindly.

DEBKAfile reports: Bush is expected to offer the mighty BIG-BLU bunker buster bomb to Israel and Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia

May 22, 2006, 9:11 PM (GMT+02:00)

The intention is to arm US allies with a deterrent against Iran by sharing with them the means for striking the Islamic Republic’s underground nuclear installations.

This Massive Ordnance Penetrator – MOP – known as BIG-BLU (picture) - weighs in at 13,600 kilos and can destroy 25% of its targets in bunkers buried beneath 60 meters of reinforced concrete, a depth greater than any other bomb of its type.

DEBKAfile’s military sources note that this bomb in Saudi hands will also serve the oil kingdom as a deterrent against Israel’s atomic weapons program. In this way, the Bush administration demonstrates it is not solely targeting the military weapons activities of Muslim nations. The bunker busters will no doubt come with strings attached with regard to their use.

Israeli prime minister Olmert, who is due at the White House Tuesday, said he hoped Bush “will lead other nations in taking the necessary measures to stop Iran form becoming a nuclear power.”

DEBKAfile’s Washington’s sources say the Bush administration has little faith in other nations, especially the Europeans, acting to stop Iran, and has embarked on preparations for action on its own initiative. In these circumstances, Israeli ambivalence would be the preferred public stance rather than explicit dependence on Washington.

Sure we can. Just keep doing nothing with the occasional whine to the UN, and Iran themselves. We seem to be wanting to have to deal with a nuclear Iran later instead of dealing with a pre-nuclear Iran right now.

Olmert ... said he hoped Bush “will lead other nations in taking the necessary measures to stop Iran...

I would expect that this is just for 5th column consumption, and that the real reason for the visit is Olmert filling in the details of what will be coming down in the months, if not weeks, ahead.

They have infiltrated us, in fact the world. Their procedures work. They move to a country, raise families, acquire jobs in all sectors, live in all parts of the target country. They start to make demands based on their their religious beliefs (the quaran). Nativity scenes are offensive, require rooms and time for prayer, imposing their beliefs at the expense of others. Softening the target so to speak. By leveraging political ground gained at every turn. Subjugation in any means, some subtle, some not so subtle. Each appeasement is a victory for them. When their population reaches a critical mass they strike. They plan to do this with in our lifetimes.France may well already be lost. There is no such thing as a peaceful islamist, it simply means they have not been activated.
We must not continue to dismiss them in apathetic arrogance.
We should be prepared to bare arms.

Will it take an American Hiroshima to awaken the majority, to mobilize our masses against the Islamic quest of world domination?
Islam must be crushed. Islam must not be recognized as a religion any more than Nazism was. All Mosques should be declared delinquent of taxes owed retroactive from the day they were built. ANY gathering of Islamics should be PROSECUTED as CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MASS MURDER, found guilty and deported. Country by country, state by state, town by town, foot by foot, inch by inch, the Islamic cancer must be eradicated.

ACT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE:
Dear Representative:
As a registered voter and tax paying legal resident of the United States of America we urge you to provide us with your utmost commitment to providing the citizens of our nation protection of our rights, life, liberties, property, and our hallowed Constitution.

We are under attack by an ideology that demands our demise. We will not stand quiet in the eve of our destruction. And we certainly will not tolerate our elected representative to lead us to the slaughter.

We urge you to introduce a referendum on whether Islam is a religion, or an ideology.

The advantages and protections of tax-exempt status afforded to a religion should not be extended to an ideology determined to replace our Constitution with the Koran.

In spite of what the media reports, the American public is well aware that that the war on terrorism is in reality, our defensive efforts against the Islamic offensive. We are not being provided with the defense of both our rights and the sanctity of our Constitution as long as we allow the enemy to operate freely with in our borders.

Americans are concerned and are in extreme jeopardy and demand you perform your duties as both an American and elected representative.

In Earnest,
