ATLANTA -- A clergyman and five others are accused of taking more than $200,000 from illegal immigrants in exchange for helping them gain amnesty by lying about when they entered the United States.
An indictment unsealed May 18 says the defendants held meetings related to the scam in Brockton, Mass.; Boca Raton, Fla.; and at least twice at a Marietta, Ga., church where one of them, Ruy Silva, was the pastor.

Well,at least all the rules except the Federal Immigration "rules".
Is it the message or the messenger you disagree with? President Bush has been the saying the same for months.
Although I didn't make it clear,I was being sarcastic. I can,in fact,easily believe that illegals,both individually and in groups,would engage in further illegal acts in order to get that coveted Green Card and all the keen government cash that can go along with it.
I also believe that numerous organizations,as well as the democRAT Party,would engage in questionable (if not illegal) acts to bring this about.
I've been harping on this church/coyote connection for quite some time now, and taken a fair bit of abuse, too, I might add.
If there's a "Iglesia Bautista Evangelista" in your town, keep on eye on who's running things. Ask other ministers if there's any scuttle about funneling the illegals in and ruling over them once they arrive.
Really good, foolproof, can't be abused program, huh?

It didn't use to be what conservative politicians did.
Not saying or agreeing that Bush lied on that however, other than believing his own boneheaded plans for amnesty and the rest of his rot. All I know however is that if what we're now getting under ownership of both houses and the WH, then it's very sad. The Libs with full control would be running circles around the GOP. Yet, we can barely seem to eke out ten rounds with them under the same circumstances.
If they break the law coming here in the first place, I had no confidence they wouldn't lie about how long they'd been here... just long enough for amnesty, but not so long they have to pay much in the so-called fine McCain is fond of mentioning.
Of course no one else would ever think of doing this.
