Since Hastert and Boehner condemned the FBI raid of Jefferson's office, I'd say their approval ratings just plummeted to zero.

Yay! At least in this survey Republicans are BLUE and DemocRATS are RED! That's the way it always was until 2000. Even in 2000 the major networks and cable news agencies were evenly split over which party had which color. But by 2004 it was universally RED=Rep, BLUE=Dim.

Note that Sen. Lieberman (D-CT) has 59% approval. Could he be in that much trouble?

Still, it's unclear to me how that's relevant to this thread. ;)

As an ex-CT Yankee, I can say that Lieberman is only in possible trouble in the Dem primary. He would be a candidate for a cross-endorsement (CT allows those), and a Dem win in the primary would give him a nice excuse to cross the aisle, where he would be a bit of a RINO, but still an upgrade over what CT typically offers these days.

I did
check again. When you list by "Highest Net Job Approval" or "Highest Approval" the Dims are Red and the Reps are Blue.
However, your questioning my sanity and colorblindness made me double check, and if you list the Senators alphabetically by last name, then the Dims are Blue and the Reps are Red.
So much for consistancy.

Ten of the least popular dozen are conservative Republicans. How many are up for election other than Santorum?

Joe Lieberman won't be in trouble in the general election. The Democratic primary is where the problem might lie.
If it were allowed, I'd re-register as a Democrat just to be able to vote in the Dem primary to make sure Lieberman keeps the Democratic nomination. Compared to the lunatics who would replace him, Lieberman is rational and sane.
If he makes it through the primary, he'll be re-elected. He's really a good Senator for Connecticut, and he's actually politically just about where the people of this state are. Connecticut is a liberal state, but it's a business liberal/practical common sense sort of place (as contrasted with New York, on one side, and Massachussetts on the other). Remember, we carried out an execution here last year. The death penalty in New England. Go figure. Connecticut's like that.

Pure BS. It looks like in North Carolina, they may have done their polling sample in Durham or Chapel Hill.
