WASHINGTON Vice President Dick Cheney could be called to testify in the perjury case against his former chief of staff, a special prosecutor said in a court filing.
Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald suggested Cheney would be a logical government witness because he could authenticate notes he jotted on a July 6, 2003, New York Times opinion piece by a former U.S. ambassador critical of the Iraq war.b

Ah so now we see that Fritz is just a media whore not a serious prosecutor at all. He got nothing so now he has to grandstand politically in the hopes the Media will protect him. Just pulling a Murtha. Know your in trouble, attack the Bush Admin to divert attention from your political misdeeds. Seems he is just playing for the Galleries since he knows full well he has NOTHING at all. Just another out of control Prosecutor with delusions of political godhood.

It is now obvious that Fitz's intent all along was to get to The VP through Libby and the President through Rove.
Fitz is nothing more than a Democratic operative.

Patrick Fitzgerald suggested Cheney would be a logical government witness because he could authenticate notes he jotted on a July 6, 2003, New York Times opinion piece Which Libby says he did not see until an FBI agent showed it to him... Fitzgerald is running a farce...

Who could have predicted that setting in motion an unaccountable prosecutorial entity with an unlimited budget and a mandate to gather as many scalps as possible could go so wrong?

When do the trials start for the CIA maggots who leaked classified information to their Comrades in the MSM? I can't seem to find anything on that anywhere.

Somebody should tell Fitzgerald that a DA.'s job may be opening soon in Durham. LOL!
Sounds like the old adage. Throw everything against the wall and indict anything that sticks.
Doubt he wins, but all that press while the thing goes on is what this guy must crave.

I'm beginning to wonder if there is anyone left in government who cares abou the United States of America.
Everyone I hear about seem to be self-serving pukes.

This proves nothing. Fitzgerald still has to PROVE Libby intended to lie.

Have you heard Timmy boy, whilst pimping his new book on both H&C and Sean's radio show, say that he NEVER knew anything at all about good old Valerie, until talking with Scooter Libby?

andrea mitchell should be called to testify. still though, the media people have had ample opportunity to line up their denial stories - and unless there is some piece of evidence that is available to break that cabal, it will likely hold up.

The off shore account money offered to these traitorous whores must be staggering.

I betcha Olbermann and the WP's Dana Milbank are on the phone with each other right now, giggling like school girls while prepping for tomorrow's edition of his inane program, Countdown.

There IS a tape of Andrea saying that "EVERYONE KNEW WHO VALERIE WAS AND THAT SHE WORLED FOR THE CIA". She's now denied what she said on that tape, she's also denied that that is what she meant, when she said it on that tape.
But yes, Russert and Mitchell and Miller et al, HAVE indeed now dug their heels in, are sticking together, and though we all know that they are lying through their collective teeth, they'll sadly. probably get away with it.

I hope this trial is televised.
