CHOA Expects to Lose Money Treating Illegals

(WSB Radio) -- The State of Georgia has begun enforcing federal guidelines dealing with medicaid payments for the treatment of chronic conditions which began as emergency care.

As a result, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta expects to incur losses in the millions of dollars for the care of children illegally in the U.S.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the hospital currently treats 172 undocumented children many of whom will not qualify for extended care.

David Tatum, vice president of government affairs for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, tells WSB News,

"We don't turn children away here at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta but at the same time we can't afford to treat children for free forever. I'm afraid in the not to distant future with other reimbursement pressures that are coming we may be forced to make a very difficult decision and I don't think we're looking forward to that."

One of the countless instances that King George and his country club RINO buddies ignore of where the Mexican invasion is costing us lots of money. CHOA is a non profit hospital. If the ninos of the wetbacks cost the hospital $3000000, that's $3000000 that doesn't go for people who belong in this country.

Send the bastards back and send their spawn back too.

Over the last couple decades, community hospitals have had to close their doors because of illegals bankrupting them. Back in my hometown, the only hospital in the entire county had to close. The next nearest hospital is 1 1/2 hours away. The one after that is over 2 1/2 hours away.

Illegals - stealing the health care that americans aren't willing to steal. There is a definite limit to the capacity of the health care system in this country, and the cockroaches are straining it past the breaking point. Not to mention how much their ninos cost the taxpayer to attend government schools.

Many border hospitals were closing because of lack of payment from illegals. Fortunately, that one billion in federal money that was approved to help the border hospitals stay in business is starting to coming in now...a year and a half later. As a story on NPR insinuated...problem solved.

Not that it will help communites that have already lost their hospitals.

Nor will it do anything to solve the problem...but it does shift more of the cost from the state, which cannot enforce immigration laws, to the federal government, which can but refuses to enforce immigration laws.

It also "removes" one talking point that those who are opposed to illegal immigration make....that the hospitals are going broke from treating illegals.
