Not sure if this the cloture vote or the confirmation vote.
Its the confirmation vote; last night was the cloture vote.
already a thread...please delete.
I haven't been following. I thought there was no need for a cloture vote (no mention of a threatened filibuster).
Will pass, slam dunk.
The Senate's idiotic rules state that you have to end debate on something you have't debated yet. Then the rule requires that the senators mill about near the desk while some guy calls out a list of names which nobody responds to.
It's about time! The Dems have been working a soft filibuster on Kavanaugh, and with all the immigration debate going on, it hasn't been getting any coverage.

now the vote to confirm Hayden head of the CIA
Definitely a most unusual day in the US Senate, two things get done.
Thank you
Kerry, Clinton, Durbin, Schumer, Obama, Kennedy, the usual suspects are voting against Hayden. Think of it, the significance of these democrats voting against what's best for the country's national security, voting against the man most qualified to run the CIA.
Oops!!! I think I just heard Schumer voted "aye" to confirm Hayden. Can it be?
