"I am confident that this issue will be solved very soon, and probably in few months, Kosovo will become independent and will respect the rights of all citizens," said Clark.

"I am confident that this issue will be solved very soon, and probably in few months, Kosovo will become independent and will respect the rights of all citizens," said Clark.
***** Will respect the rights of all citizens???? So, when will this start since the KLA has been murdering Serbs, moderate Albanians and other minorities since 1999...The only real mass grave found was in the past few years with 22 Serbs murdered....even to date they have targeted Serbs and destroyed churches.
"I believe that Kosovo will be welcomed into the family of the nations and that there will be many opportunities for the citizens of this country to prosper, raise big families and make their dreams come true."
*****OK, I'll bite....prosper how?? the only economy is small store owners, UN corrupted money, corruption, and a total Mafia state. Who's dreams....how about all dreams, the Serbs that live there also.
"Clark, who is on a three-day visit to the disputed province, met Kosovo's President Fatmir Sejdiu and Prime Minister Agim Ceku, who said Clark was a great friend of Kosovo, who stood by it in its most difficult times."
***** Ceku.....a mass murderer, no kidding, on the level of Milosevic....it's an amazing situation. The Serbs will be targeted.. If Kosovo gets independence it will rely on the corrupted funds of UN money. When the attacks against Serbs start in South Presevo, Kosovo will be a sovereign country. So, if the Serb forces cross into Kosovo, here comes the wrath of the UN against Serbia again for starting a war with a UN protected country. The rule of law in Kosovo is a like Dodge City and the judges are either corrupt or in fear of their lives.....Can't have a trial when the witnesses are murdered...all this is actually true.
"He is and will always be honored by the people of Kosovo," he said.

I don't know which makes me most furious:
That even the administration still touts Kosovo as some kind of victory for democracy and western values,
or that Weasely Clark is still treated as a military expert rather than a war criminal.

Since the Albanians and the Serbs cannot coexist, the best thing to do is to keep them apart and partition the territory along the pattern of ethnic settlement, so as to cause minimal displacement and hardship. Since a divorce is necessary, let it be as velvet a divorce as possible. Vaclav Havel showed how these things are done by civilized people, but then again, nobody in that neighborhood is civilized.

Clark is meddling in the internal affairs of another country. Kosovo is still part of Serbia.

I am sure that the Muslims of Kosovo will treat non-Muslims with tolerance and respect as they do throughout the Islamic world./sarc.
Seriously, I'd love to talk with some of the officers that served with Wesley Clark throughout his career. My guess is that he made general the old-fashioned way (being political and kissing butts).

They could never partition as the Albanians would consider this unacceptable. There is no way also for a velvet divorce. The best way would be for NATO, the U.S. and UN to rid themselves of the corrupt administrators first. Second, conduct an investigation of the UN system in Kosovo and fire the corrupt senior administrators. Third, attack the Albania Mafia figures and stop working with them, as the Italians have been doing. Fourth, give a directive to the Albanian leaders to call their dogs off and then start a massive collection of criminals and send them to The Hague. Next, reestablish KFOR security in minority areas with explicit orders to shoot on sight any perps that are doing the bombs, attacking the minorities, etc.....or, arrest and prosecute to the fullest extent. This would require a complete change of our U.S. Policy as this is not the focus since the beginning. I talked to many of the rotating commanders and liaison officers behind closed doors and listened to their frustration as to why we aren't arresting the Albanian Mafia and confronting the common criminals, UCPMB, NLA, etc...members. While they were fighting the Serbs in 2000, in South Presevo....(bomb attacks, ambushing policemen, snipers etc...) they: the Albanian Rebels would conduct training exercises in Serbia within eyeshot of the U.S. OP's. On occasion, they would bring a training schedule, drop it off at the OP and return to the field in Serbia.....
The only real mass grave found in Kosovo was one that had 22 Serbs in it. Rajak was a farce and prefabricated to look like a real massacre. Yes there were around 40+ bodies there but, there was signficant evidence to show that the bodies had been moved. Also the KLA controlled access of the site until they were ready to allow Observers in.......
We are not neutral..................

Wes Clark was roundly despised within the army. I give thanks to God I never served under him, but my friends who did hated him. He is an extreme political opportunist who is willing to do anything to get publicity and curry favor from his political masters.

Just ask the Branch Dividian survivors about this guy. Lol, I was just telling my 18 year old son, who sees everything in black and white the two signs you are about to be invaded by evil men with guns: 1. The media calls your religion a sect 2. The media calls your farm a compound When this happens, you're as good as dead.

I just hope to find myself within spitting distance of Clark, Halfbright, or either of the Clintons at some point in time.
