He also said on the Senate floor that Nixon sent him into Cambodia. The only problem is that Nixon wasn't President at the time.In Kerry's revised scenario, the Cambodia insertion occurred in mid-February and Nixon was president for less than a month. When facts arise that conflict with your "recollections" the answer is simple: Revise your recollections.

Maybe he will prove his lies about the atrocities in a manner reminiscent of Jinjus Shkhan?? Maybe he has a plan for that?

I was there and saw that speech in person -- powerful, uplifting, and very moving. As some on here know, I too spent my full year in Vietnam on the patrol boats. My disgust for Kerry and admiration for the real heroes of that war and this one have no bounds.

"They gave me a hat," Mr. Kerry says. "I have the hat to this day," he declares, rising to pull it from his briefcase. "I have the hat." "They" gave him a hat - sure - and you've kept it in your briefcase now for 40 years because .... why?

John Kerry starts by showing the entry in a log he kept from 1969: "Feb 12: 0800 run to Cambodia." Nobody ever said there weren't border patrols. Kerry spinning Kerry.

Sure is tough to argue with a multi-millionaire who holds a safe back-bench senatorial seat for life.
For example, JFK #2 complains loud and long to any who'll listen that W outspent him. However, he did walk away from the race with over $15Million in matching campaign funds.
BTW, completely legal. Characteristically, he has not spent any major money to support any other Democratic candidate and stiffed several consultants.

Sweet mercy this could have been our president. Don't the Democrats have any normal candidates?

The worst of Kerry is not his making up stories about his amazingly brief "tour" in Vietnam, it is his betrayal by lying about atrocities and meeting with our enemies and undermining the war effort and troop morale with his actions. A bona fide C. Medal of Honor while serving in 'Nam wouldn't negate his treasonous activity after the war.
