I would rather have no Bill then what the Senate passed

It's a pathetic stance to have to take... but it's what we'll have to hope for if the Senate doesn't accept the House stipulations.

I have asked that question 100 times and yet to get a serious answer, have you?

It's always raise the wages and workers will magically appear or machinary. If there was a machine to do it economically it would already be made.

I agree with your approach. We should not be stampeded into a take or leave it choice. Immigration reform has enormous implications for our economy, society, and culture. It should not be done without careful study and examination of the consequences of various options. In the meantime, we need to enforce our existing laws and secure our borders.

I don't think the NY Times is always wrong, just always wrong when it comes to conservatives versus liberals and politics. They will also print something (usually minor) to somehow prove they are unbiased and fair. I guess I should admit, I avoid anything in the NY Times unless I'm pointed to it here on FR. There just isn't much in the NY Times worth reading and it takes too much time to find it if it's there.

Murtha: SPEAK LIES TO THE WEAK!

Murtha is weak. I believe he doesnt really believe the stuff he says, but since he opened the box, he needs to see it through. No one can be that dumb. He has really said some awful things. Someone is pulling his strings..

Hagel...will someone please tell this man to shut up and go away

Amen, king of the triangulating Rinos,McHagel as Laura Ingraham calls them, are the worst. No on can play four sides of an issue as good as these two except for maybe the clintons.

It's a pathetic stance to have to take

Yes I agree .. but that McCain Bill really stinks

Better to just start over if the House can't take out large portions of that senate bill

She used to go by "Kimberly Guilfoyle Newscomb" but now it's just Kimberly Guilfoyle. She must have a reason (lol); she hasn't fooled me though.

On ABC's This Week, Jack Murtha raised the possibility that General Pete Pace ordered "the massacre at Haditha."

This is the CommiecRats way of Supporting the Troops!

In the meantime, we need to enforce our existing laws and secure our borders.

And therin lies the heart of the debate. The Senate bill does not do that..

Seems kind of obvious to most of us. Why is it so hard to get done?

I mean it is basic problem solving. Fix the problem, repair the damage, learn lessons from the event and plan for the future. Is that really so hard for us all to do?

"Yes I agree .. but that McCain Bill really stinks"

Its really the Kennedy bill, since he, his staffers, and the immigration lawyers wrote most of it.

If a labor intensive solution is cheaper than a machine, you don't need the machine. I know that from some personal experience in India.

The illegals are not competing on a level playing field. If your competitor can get a cheaper supply of labor than you can playing according to the rules, you either do what they are doing or go out of business. This is what is happening here in Northern Virginia.

Well it stands to reason that a deceased Reporter would pen the Obituary since Bentsen knew Jack Kennedy, and we know where he is. Seriously, I think that maybe he was chosen to do it since they were anticipating that Bentsen (who was in very poor health)would soon pass on and they usually have it in their Computer just waiting for the inevitable to happen. They just click on and hit send and voila...It really is very bizarre though IMHO.

Your tag line says it all. "cheer up, the adults are in charge!"

I'm not fond of all the knee jerk reactions or willingness to go overboard emotionally that many people are doing, but I am glad this issue is being addressed with more seriousness than was in the Simpson/Missoli bill twenty years ago.

Having no bill is the compromise between those two positions, but it ends up leaving the status quo in position...

Excellent analysis and right on track. Once we are back to square one, which is quite possibly where we will be if this bill does not pass both houses, it is then up to the electorate to kick out the libs, rats, and rinos and elect some true conservatives that really care about the future of the country. Not some of the jokers we have in there now who strictly are there for all the money and power they can steal.
