Indonesia 'angry at US for slow response'
5/29/06

Posted on 05/29/2006 4:51:31 PM PDT by pabianice

According to today's news, Indonesians are "angry" at the US for not responding quickly enough with enough aid to help them recover from the most recent disaster (the earthquake) in an unbroken series of disasters.

Excuse me? Angry because we have not gone once again to save their sorry butts from the results of their government's corruption, incompetence, illiteracy, and criminality? When did we become responsible for their mess of a country? Apparently I didn't get the memo.

Enough. Bite me. I am utterly sick to death of the nations of the world with their hand out, and when we put something in it, it's never enough.

Remember that it was the Dems who got us into this mess by criticizing the President for not sending enough of our tax dollars to Indonesia after the tsunami.

We're viewed as parents by most of the rest of the world.

....a world committed to remaining infants.

They really should just shut up. That would be the wise thing to do.

Why don't they turn to Mecca for help?

These are the same people who were gloating after the slow response to Katrina.

Not to be cruel, well after that type of comment: let's be cruel and see how they like to rot in their own personal hell called Indonesia.

Let's see... I think the expression that I'm looking for is, "Hey rest-of-world, go piss up a rope".

Where was Indonesian aid after Katrina? Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama are still waiting!

Indonesians were overjoyed when 9/11 happened. Let there arab brothers feed them.

It is time to tell the world -- if you are against the USA -- don't call us for help!

LET THEM STRAVE!

Indonesia 'angry at US for slow response'

IIRC, it was Indonesian authorities that unceremoniously booted
our humanitarian mission off their turf.

I think that there was suspicion that helpers from the US military might
make the recovery process too efficient (less chance for graft by
the Indonesian authorities).

Didn't Indonesia turn away the aid that the US was preparing to give them after the Tsunami?

Sounds like they want REPARATIONS as well!
