An ex-Marine pulled out a pocket knife after five people, including a young girl, allegedly tried to rob him late Monday evening in Midtown. That girl died.
Another one of the alleged assailants is in critical condition.
Investigators are calling the case one of self-defense. They say no charges will be filed against the victim in the case.

In Atlanta it depends on their color. If they're black, Paul Howard, Atlanta's racist DA, will find a way to get them charged with a minor crime at most. If they're white, they'll bury them with multiple felony charges.

My Mom lives in Houston, and I never had the same feeling driving around Houston, as in Atlanta. I had to go to a training course in downtown Atlanta the other day and ventured out from my hotel toward the training site to find a restaurant. I was hit up for change twice in three blocks, at 6:30 am. I hustled down to a well lit restaurant and enjoyed breakfast until about 7:30 when there were plenty of people on the street. Other Georgia cities that are bad are Savannah and Albany.
IMHO, today girls are cruel, vicious, sexed up, ego maniacs.
For some reason society still views them as victims.
This generation of young women are dangerous and should be entitled to the equal justice and treatment as their peer male counterparts.

Investigators say two of the suspects got stabbed.
This is an outrageous act by this bully with a knife and proof that knives are too dangerous and should be banned. Assault knives such as the one used have no place in a civilized society.
