I'm a full-time student at a college in Northern California. I have no health insurance. I can only work part-time so health insurance is out of my reach. I can see a doctor at school if I'm sick but that's the extent of it. I can't see a dentist and I'm positive I have cavities. Can't do anything about it. If I get injured I have to go to a public county hospital and fill out endless forms to prove my eligibility and get any care. Eventually though I'll get help after waiting for an eternity. Believe me, I speak from experience. It's good and bad basically. I probably get a lot of help because I live in California but damn I can't see a dentist! That's pretty messed up if you ask me, as a student who represents the future of this country I feel entitled to health insurance. Anyways, it's not too bad here but it's probably worse in other states. Furthermore, it's horrible if you're middle class because they'll seize your assets to pay for the care you get. If you don't have any assets you're cool. So in reality our Healthcare system screws the middle class above all else which is disgraceful for a developed country like ours that has so much pride. The hypocrisy is overwhelming!
