EARLY MORNING RAID NETS IED CELL LEADERS

BALAD, Iraq – Iraqi forces raided two targets in the Karada area of Baghdad on May 30 and detained seven individuals responsible for improvised explosive device, or IED attacks against Iraqi Security Forces.

The first target was a dormitory on the campus of the Baghdad Technical University where two student cells, operating out of dormitory rooms, built IEDs and later initiated attacks against Iraqi Army and Police forces. Iraqi forces detained four students on this target.

On the second target, an apartment building near the campus, Iraqi forces detained three cell leaders responsible for emplacing IEDs made by their student cells. All three cell leaders are believed to be Palestinians, and they were financed by a local business.

This cell is responsible for at least two attacks against Iraqi security and police forces in the Karada area. The first attack, in December 2005, resulted in no casualties. The second attack, in January of this year, killed several Iraqi police officers riding in a vehicle.

No Iraqi forces were killed or wounded during this operation.

Give yourselves 48 hours to get any info you can out of them, and then kill them.

Easy to fix.

Tie them all to their IED's and then detonate.

Okay. They were "detained". Then what?
Were they released?

...and they were financed by a local business.

Why? What's in it for them?

I' guessing they will spend time in Abu Ghraib, wishing the US was still running it rather than Iraqis.

For those who are not aware of this little fact...the Iraqi justice system moves just as quickly as it did under Saddam...evidence is presented and trials go on round the clock basically.

If these scumbags give names and locations of where these are coming from and being made and paid by whom...they will get a hanging as soon as the info is gathered.

From what I understand..there is a current zero tollerance for ANY terrorist activity...death comes to all of them.

Yep. Once the new government went into place and the U.S. was no longer responsible for criminal trials in the country...executions resumed....many go on each day as sentences are carried out.

At least this time...a trial...legal representation...and evidence is allowed. Under Saddam...nobody dared go against his word or why they were picked up. They were simply tortured every day for years...or simply shot, put in a shredder, hung, beheaded etc..

Meanwhile back in the USA we have "professors" advocating the defeat and destruction of the USA, the US Military and barring military recruiters on campus.
Just a tiny step away from those turds caught in Iraq...

Profits from money laundering?

And they thought that either: 1) nobody would find out, or 2) people would still do business with them after they did find out?
