It's why we do it, folks. It's fun, it's uplifting; and it's even more enjoyable now that warm weather has returned.
FReepers from all over the country have visited DC, had a great time seeing Washington's incomparable monuments and museums, and made the time to stand with us in honor of our wounded and in support of their families. Come and stand with us this Friday, and lots of Fridays!
Ample parking on the streets. We order pizza. See you there!
Ping!
You guys just totally rock! I love the new thread "style" today! It produced several belly laughs!
FReepmail me to get on or off the list.
Injured Walter Reed patients, including amputees, have repeatedly told us how important it is for us to be there to counter Code Pink.
We need to continue to have sufficient numbers to occupy the four corners of the main corner. Failing that, the Pinkos may end up returning from their exile, a block away where their heartless psych op against our wounded heroes is greatly hindered. Help our troops by showing up and insuring that the Pinkos don't get back to a prime corner, where they would again be in the faces of our wounded troops.
Our troops are bold enough to face bullets, mortars, IEDs, and suicide bombers. Are you bold enough to get out from behind the keyboard, FReep in person, and stand up for the wounded troops at Walter Reed?
If you're in the DC area and don't have family, work or medical considerations that keep you from FReeping, can you spare a few hours on a Friday night? Will you?
Most excellent after-action report, Albion and excellent pics, Mrs. TroopRally!
Mrs. Taxman and I enjoyed ourselves immensely last FRiday night. It is always a moving and uplifting experience to stand with the DC Chapter in FRont of the main gate at WRAMC and support our service men and women for their sacrifices on our behalf.
We'll be back!
For those of you who have not attended a WRAMC FReep, let me urge you to do so. It is quite an experience, and well worth your time and effort!
What a bunch of disgusting dogs those women are.
Great work. Thanks for posting.
Those photos are a scream. You have to wonder if those women named their children moon puppy or poppy bloom.
You people are absolutely wonderful! Great rally, great report, great pics, and great morale-boosters for our wounded warriers and their families!
I wonder if these characters flashing the "V" sign understand that Richard Nixon used it all the time when he was campaigning - might cause them some consternation if they did.....
I've been told that there was a time during the Viet Nam war when many a beautiful maiden sheathed a young warrior's sword within her body to prevent him from going off to that war.
That time was refered to as the Summer of Love...
Code pink seems to be made up those that were rejected during that summer by even the horniest of Marines.
well almost.
You aught to make big photos of this gal and one of her legs and give it to the troops in the hospital - it would give them a good laugh and every time they see "the unwashed" on the street - they can chuckle and think to themselves "If these are the people who are against what we're doing = we must be doing right!"
The Great Unwashed
Albion...thanks so much for the great report.
Wish I were there! Soon maybe.
You should start all future descriptions of Code Pink with "The crowd turned ugly just by showing up."
I'm pinging you to the latest Walter Reed thread because
1) you responded to an earlier Walter Reed thread
2) you came out and FReeped with us at Walter Reed, some of you traveling great distances to do so
3) you're a FRiend of mine
4) or I've read your comments on threads and dig your 'tude.
Enjoy the thread, and ping your FRiends. If you've already been pinged by someone else, please accept my apologies.
Freepmail me if you want on or off this Walter Reed ping list, which is for people not already on the DC Chapter ping list.
Isn't it amazing the difference in how the Code Pink scum look compared to the FReepers? Those Code Pink people always look...strange.
I participated in a FReep of an A.N.S.W.E.R. rally inHouston in '03 about a month before the war started. There were about 4,000 of 'em and every single one of them had that weird, Communist, unwashed hippie look.
(And we really ruined their little love-fest that day just by being there with our American flags and signs supporting the troops.)
You folks are awesome!
I'd love to see some Protest Warrior action on the Pinkos... Perhaps someone joining them with a "We Are Idiots" sign smuggled in behind a sign with one of their mantras.
See you guys on Friday. The kids have their signs but I will need one.
Nice report. Thanks!
bttt for another excellent DC FReep complete with fashion and hygiene victims!
Great play by play action, Albion and terrific photos Mrs. TroopRally - hope you have a telescopic lens on that camera, dear. Wouldn't want you to get TOO close to that skanky bunch.
You guys so rock. Thanks for all that you do.
Hope to join you someday...
God bless our troops and all our DC Freepers.
Cheers - Dinah
