Chappaqua was a calculated choice. They wanted a suburban, white picket fence image...and the town , which 10 years ago, was solidly GOP, has become overwhelmingly Dem the last decade, with the influx of Upper West Siders...she knew she'd get a very positive greeting....They were also looking at homes up county in Salem/Lewisboro..though it was a sham..which is rock-ribbed GOP country..the local RE broker was told if he sold them a house, he might as well move himself..
Thanks for the chappaqua scoop, ken. ;)
Poor Chappaqua. Reminds me of the time Clinton, NJ wanted to changes its name to Reagan. An analogous move would be to gerrymander their property out of chappaqua. But what town would want them?
