Illegal immigrants pay to have children smuggled into U.S.

NOGALES, Mexico - Jorge Nicolas Carmona put on a brave face and described how a hired smuggler led him and a cousin from Mexico into the harsh Arizona desert at night. But his tough-guy act quickly bowed to emotions as Jorge, all of 12 years old, buried his face in his lap and sobbed. Then, his 9-year-old cousin, Vicente Vega, began to bawl.

"I want my mother," Jorge answered to every question from a reporter at a Mexican office that repatriates children apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol. Shell-shocked Vicente simply answered, "No se," Spanish for "I don't know," to everything he was asked.

sorry but my heart is cold on thise mediot propaganda stories.

It only proves that ILLEGAL ALIENS should be delt with severly.

We need a fence PERIOD.

The president virtual amnesty is not reaaaaly amnesty is about as believable as the virtual wall. The opportunity to apply for a special path to citizenship IS THE AMNESTY. Opportunity is amnesty!.

Many children are smuggled into this country, especially right before school starts in the fall. Many parents who stay in Mexico even have their children smuggled in to live with relatives so the children can go to school here in the US. That way, US taxpayers can educate them, give them free breakfast and lunch and foot their medical bills while they prepare to take our jobs. It is another part of the overall scam on US taxpayers.

A local talk show host, Howie Carr, has been incredibly vocal about the elimination of "anchor babies" and he is 100% correct. It needs to be abolished immediately.

I have been present when people are caught attempting to smuggle in children through a port of entry; the stories the adults tell are amazing. They usually start off claiming they are the parent, but then even those claiming to be the mother cannot give the correct info to match a birth certificate they are trying to use for a child. Then they try to claim they are an aunt or friend of the family- it just goes south from there. Many of these children will have legitimate US birth certificates, it just becomes plain that the certificate is not for the child that is there. Many of the children are tuned on as to what to say- but you would be surprised at how often the children will tell officers their real name or will tell the truth in other ways. Teaching young children to lie to officers of the law at an early age is just another part of the family values south of the border that you hear so much about.

Urrea doubts that more walls and tougher enforcement will discourage poor families from southern Mexico and Central America who have little to lose and everything to gain from sneaking into the United States.

Yes, and locks on my door won't keep out everyone but I'm still going to use them.

"The whole country (of Mexico) dreams of the American dream. It will never change," she said.

What a slap in the face of Mexican leaders. Their country sucks so bad that everyone wants to leave. The US should encourage Mexicans to go back to Mexico and change leadership.

And Vicente Fox visits America, acts like a big shot, and American politicians fawn all over him. He should be tarred and feathered and sent home to his palace in Mexico (and take several unnamed American politicians and several million of his illegal alien countrymen with him).

So these children are raised in an environment of scamming and stifle the garnering of facts except where they're apprehended before they're too inculcated to the criminal lifestyle pressed upon them. Makes me dislike their parents (no matter how ignorant) even more.

The racial subtext is that the Indians and semi Indians (Mestizos) of Mexico are sneaking into the United States. Doing exactly what the Spanish oligarchy wants them to do. To leave, get out, go north
These days we even have illegal immigrant Mayans who speak and write no Spanish. They are from Mexico and Guatemala

If it's this easy to smuggle a squirmy little kid across the border...imagine how simple it would be to smuggle a dozen suitcase nukes.

War on Terror indeed.

60% of all of Mexico is owned by 40 families. They are the political force. The elected leaders rape Pemex. The spend nothing on the people, depending instead on the money being sent back by those in the US to be their welfare. Any who might create a problem they eliminate or send north.

They need a reasonable workforce to support the wealthy. They pay them little but depend on the welfare from the north to support them. That is the way they want it. It is up to us to stop being nice.
