Peter King: I'll Probe CIA 'Orgies'
NewsMax.com ^ | June 2, 2006 | Carl Limbacher

Posted on 06/02/2006 8:11:43 AM PDT by Carl/NewsMax

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King is lashing out at his fellow Republicans in Washington after Homeland Security Czar Michael Chertoff cut anti-terrorism funding for New York City, warning Thursday morning that unless the cuts are restored, he'll launch an investigation into what he called "orgies" involving CIA agents at the Watergate hotel.

"[The cut] to me raises very serious questions about the judgment and the sincerity of the Department [of Homeland Security] and everything they do," King told WABC Radio's John Gambling. "If they can't get something like this right, how can we trust them to get anything right?"

King then threatened: "So I am going to be investigating them from top to bottom and one clear example is this whole scandal with [ex-]Congressman Duke Cunningham, which has now unfolded to include orgies at the Watergate hotel."

Last month, a top advisor to former CIA Director Porter Goss was forced to resign after admitting that he attended poker parties at the Watergate arranged by a lobbyist-friend of Cunningham's, where published reports claimed that prostitutes were present.

But there have been no allegations that anyone engaged in "orgies."

Still, an angry King vowed to blow the lid off the scandal, saying it involves "prostitutes and booze and gambling and CIA agents."

"People were driven to the Watergate hotel for these orgies in limousines," King claimed. "The limousine company is owned by a convicted criminal that lost their previous contracts with school districts because they were incompetent. And the Department of Homeland Security gave them a $21 million contract to drive their top officials around Washington."

The New York Republican continued to fume: "They could find $21 million to give to a company owned by a criminal which drives around pimps and prostitutes, and they cut $80 million for the city of New York.

"That says to me a lot about their judgment," he added.

Responding to King's complaint, Homeland Security spokeswoman Tracy Henke told Gambling that New York City had received $568 million in federal security funding since 2003 - on top of the $20 billion in reconstruction aid earmarked to help rebuild lower Manhattan in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks.

This schmuck is about 30 years too late. He should have investigated the prostitutes being supplied to major DNC donors by the demonrats out of the Watergate Hotel. But then evidence of such demo hijinks discovered by the Watergate Burglars didn't even rate a sentence in the MSM news at the time, so why would it rate an investigation?

When democrats are caught doing something wrong, the prosecutor is investigated. You doubt me? Who spent 40 million going after Clinton? When a Republican is caught doing wrong, it's wrong. When a democrat is caught, it's "how dare they go after him" - "overzealous prosecutor" etc.

The pork involved in the Homeland Security grants in well known. In fact, NYPD and FDNY are no further along on radio systems or interoperability than they were on 9/11.

not in NY.

Chertoff supposedly had a bellyful of NY whining when an audit of Homeland Security money given to the city revealed that it was used to pay overtime for union civil servants whose jobs had nothing to do with homeland security.

The rest of the country groans when New Yorkers poor mouth for federal money.

So let me get this straight. If they give him the money he won't investigate this corruption?

From what I've read, yes. Hey, c'mon, all us plebe taxpayers have been taking a ride on the "GoodTrain/BadTrain" for so long, sometimes it's hard to tell what the hell is going on. Well, I'll tell you what's going on.

There is a one party system here, with two branches. Each one plays the other against the other...doesn't matter which. What does matter is that the pubs have had all the "power" for years now, and basically nothing is new. As a matter of fact, for us taxpayers, it's gotten worse. Let's think about illegal immigration or the "expanded powers" of Imminent Domain thru the USSC, or how about CFR (Campaign Finance Reform.....yeah, I'm sure no politician is getting less $$$ now than before)

What a sham this Republic has become. The march to the NWO (New World Order for those of you in RioLinda) continues unabated by either party (heh) because that is the end that justifies the means. Think about it...

There is not one of Karl Marx's marxist list in the Manifesto that is not in place or soon to be.

History does repeat itself, and as a wise man once wrote...

"There is nothing new under the sun".

The marxists are winning, big time. Everyone wants this to be "Heaven on earth".

Sorry folks, this ain't heaven and it's not supposed to be.

Chertoff supposedly ....

Wow, think we can supposedly get confirmation of this.
Let the hearings begin!

Mr. King: "Mr. Chertoff, of the 80 million you withdrew for NY, how much of that do you think went to the limo company headed by a known and convicted felon. And what role did you have in issuing said funds to this felon?"

Let's go to the hearings! Can't wait.

With people like Sinn Fein King representing you, is it any wonder that the rest of the country despises New York?

If they give him the money he won't investigate this corruption?

It's not even corruption if they paid for the hotel room(s) and prostitutes themselves.

Not exactly the best behavior for folks with high security clearances though. Definitely "adverse information". (Blackmail potential)

Yeah, whatever happened to honoring others' private lives?

Only applies to Democrats, like so much else.

Money will not win this war

But it will take money, lots and lots of money, to fight it.

Right now Congress had not yet passed the supplemental appropriation for the WoT. The Army, and I suspect the other services, are starting to have to cut back on temporary employees, non deployment related training, non essential(to deployments) travel, ordering spares for systems not about to be deployed, and so forth.

The DHS and the admin will look terrible if (or when) NYC suffers another attack

And the same will be true if one of the areas which got some of the money instead of NYC is attacked.

Do you think that hiring prostitutes is an appropriate use of government funds? I don't.

The story doesn't even hint that they were. Except perhaps very indirectly and in the sense that any money government contractors have to spend on such "marketing" activities, comes ultimately from the government, as profit from previous contracts for example.

The response to the next attack in NYC will be to seal off the radioactive areas from the rest of the United States. And frankly, if the NYSE wants machine gunning officers surrounding the financial district, they can pay for it themselves.
