Deference to the military cuts both ways. Lots of folks are willing to be deferential to the soldiers (as I am), but not so willing to be deferential to the military nvestigators (who are members of the armed forces, too).
Let it play out, that's the fairest thing.

Thats all fine and good, I'm not talking about paying deference.
You seemed to indicate that the very fact there was an investigation for a few months, that there HAS to be something wrong.
I question that as a valid argument.

That is to say, there should not be a penalty to holding yourself to a higher standard.
You are correct, depending on the results, the proper action should be taken, but the very existence of an investigation indicating guilt is completely counterproductive to the basic principle of justice IMO.
