Mohamed Elmasry, president of the Canadian Islamic Congress, told The Associated Press that he and other Muslim leaders were getting threatening e-mails.

Think I'll drop them a note. LOL

"But just the possession of ammonium nitrate doesn't prove that they have done anything wrong."

Sure. I'm always looking for THREE TONS of ammonium nitrate for my houseplants. This is what I find so infuriating about the "religion of peace" and their handmaiden CAIR: they're always so innocent and discriminated against when their ranting and raving terror-jihadists get caught. The "religion of peace" had better start denouncing terrorism and actively finding and revealing those who preach it, or they're all going to find themselves in trouble.

The Star article was nothing but an excuse to get the idea of a sting out as a talking point.

Here is the only line which had anything to do with the headline:
"Sources say investigators who had learned of the group's alleged plan to build a bomb were controlling the sale and transport of the massive amount of fertilizer"

The rest was just random event related filler. The Star article was posted on FR here

Another imam, Aly Hindy, said he knew nine of the suspects and complained that Canada's spy agency, CSIS, has unfairly targeted his mosque and congregants for years.

Yep. They unfairly bought the fertalizer and unfairly planned to build bombs, and unfairly just happened to pray with your friends. It is just so unfair!

"But just the possession of ammonium nitrate doesn't prove that they have done anything wrong."

Maybe they just wanted 3 tons of ammonium nitrate for their wives to grow African Violets on the kitchen window sill.

"Another imam, Aly Hindy, said he knew nine of the suspects"

Hmmmm..... that's just a bit less than "6 degrees of separation" don't you think? I hope that everyone who knew even ONE of these scumbags is getting a thorough rectal exam..... oops, is that "guilt by association"??? Well when we're talking about preventing more 9/11s and OKCs any friend of a jihadist is definitely suspect. An imam who knows NINE jihadists, when that's too much coincidence for one day.

"Muslim leaders voiced worries about a backlash."

Damn! You really think so?

They had best worry about a lot more than "backlash".....

"Rocco Galati, a lawyer for two of the men from Mississauga, said: "Both of their families are very well-established professionals, well-established families, no criminal pasts whatsoever."

Yes, just like the Columbine killers in Colorado.

"I have faith that they have done a thorough investigation," Khanson said of authorities. "But just the possession of ammonium nitrate doesn't prove that they have done anything wrong."

No Muzzy, The Police caught them before they had a chance to blow anything up!

"Neighbors said the oldest suspect, Jamal, was often home and did not seem to work regularly, although his wife drove a school bus. The couple has three small children, neighbors said.

Brazilian immigrant Jerry Tavares said Jamal was unfriendly and rarely spoke with neighbors."

Sound like Jamal is the one that was running the operation. He didn't need to work if he was being funded by another group. I would be searching as to where he was getting money to live, it sure wasn't from his wife driving a school bus part time.

I'm sure that the CISA is all over that, and has been all along.
