The infestation in Houston is severe. There are several mosques just blocks from my house!
I didn't know that. My taxi driver was from the ME, but he was a Christian and we talked about our churches. On the other hand, I attended a terrorism trial (as a spectator - I am a legal translator and we were touring the courts) and saw a Bangladeshi plead guilty to an elaborate money laundering scheme that involved a deal to buy a convenience store with a fraudulent loan and send the excess to an Islamic group abroad. He was working with a foreign national named "Mohammed Islam," who was also involved in supplying money as part of the fraud.
I will say that I didn't think he was a willing participant, and I am sure that, because Islam is sort of like going to the First Church of the Mafia, many ME citizens are coerced into taking part in these activities. But I also noted that somebody had paid for him to have what a local told me was the most expensive criminal lawyer in Houston.
